Common ground theatre season. Book now

the 7th common ground theatre season opens on Monday 12th January. It is a season of three full length plays, an original children's musical, a day of experimental theatre and a series of theatre events and workshops. Great Expectations, the classic Dickens story of one boys journey through a feast of memorable characters is on January 12th and 27th at 7.00 p.m. and January the 21st at 4.30

The Libertine is a filthy play about the notorious writer Lord Rochester. This plays contains sexually explicit material but is a great comedy. It plays on January 13th and 28th at 7.00 p.m and January the 19th at 4.30.

A Prayer for Owen Meany is a beautiful and incredible story of a very small boy set in the back drop of 20th Century America. It plays on January 14th and 26th at 7.00 p.m and January the 20th at 4.30

All plays run for approximately 90 minutes.


Tickets are also available for the physical comedy piece GULP. This original piece is performed on January 15th and 22nd at 4.30 and lasts approximately 30 minutes.

the season closes with the experimental Interbellum which is a promenade performance involving the whole year group. there are very limited tickets for this event and this exploration of world history from World war 1 to World war 2 follows on the tradition of I Spy, Revolver and Changes.
